If reality is computational, what happens when the program crashes?
The prophecy actually gets a bit fuzzy beyond that page, with the ebook file being pretty old and corrupted … (or that’s at least the best excuse I can think of right now).
As for the system crash problem: there seems to be a fail-safe behaviour. It’s not easy, but you can trigger it – Douglas Adams found out how:
“There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.
There is another theory which states that this has already happened.”
